The story of “The Vulture” Plague Doctor:
“The villagers call him “The Vulture”. Even in times of great plague and pestilence, they fear to call upon him. It’s true, he will assist with examinations of the afflicted and treat them with mysterious unknown medicine but still, they all perish. Some say he feasts on the flesh of the dead as he is immune to disease. In truth, he burns the corpses and buries the ashes in the deep, dark woods. His payment for service? Only all of the worldly possessions of the deceased and half of the possessions of the remaining loved ones. When his task is over, he vanishes like mist into the remote forest from which he came”.
